The Committee is charged with the responsibility to inquire into, report on and provide advice to Council and the Upper Eyre Peninsula Bushfire Management Committee in relation to the districts bushfire prevention strategies.

Council’s, Ceduna Bushfire Management Advisory Committee (CBMAC) discussed, and agreed to the sending of notifications to Primary Producers (via text messaging) during the harvest period and fire danger season to provide information on forecasted hazardous weather conditions.
Although these notifications will not negate your responsibility to make your own weather assessments at that time, the information may assist you in planning your work for that day.
