Ceduna Waters Code Amendment
The District Council of Ceduna is seeking community feedback on a change to the Planning and Design Code to allow more homes to be built in Ceduna Waters. This process is called a code amendment but is often referred to as a rezoning.
Minimum allotments sizes in Ceduna Waters were previously guided by a Concept Plan under the Ceduna Council Development Plan. When the Planning and Design Code was introduced in 2020, the Code conversion increased minimum allotment size from 2,000 square metres to 10,000 square metres and in some areas 20,000 square metres.
The Council is now looking to rezone the land from the Rural Living Zone to the Rural Neighbourhood Zone and apply a minimum allotment size of 2,000 square metres to facilitate residential growth in Ceduna Waters.
