Council Thanks the Community
The District Council of Ceduna recognises the economic and personal pressures that COVID-19 Emergency Declaration has placed on our local community, and would like to take this opportunity to commend you all on your efforts to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Businesses have adapted to the State Government trading restrictions well and the Community are continuing to support local business where they can.
Health Workers, who are at a heightened risk of exposure, continue to implement measures to ensure the safety of residents is maintained.
Federal, State and Non Government Agencies and Organisations have changed their local engagement strategies and remain committed to assisting people in our community who need support during this time.
Childcare and Education Providers are maintaining continuity in their services, not only benefitting the children but also allowing parents and caregivers the opportunity to continue with their employment, and the services they provide to the wider community.
The State Government COVID-19 Emergency Management Directions are unlike anything that current day Australians have had to conform to, but limiting the spread of the Virus and ‘flattening the curve’ is everyone’s responsibility and our community has adapted to the restrictions admirably.
