Fell from the vessel 'Wookata' at Fowlers Bay hitting his head on the side of the boat and then into the water. Body recovered by a sailor on the ship but was deceased, thought to have fractured his skull.

45 year old fell from dingy at Thevenard wharf when going from a barge to the tug boat on 8/7/18, Also known as Michael Farnell.

68 year old Richard drowned on 15th August 1925, when he was loading wheat on the 'MS Nordbo' . He was knocked off the Thevenard wharf by a sling of wheat and his body not recovered for two days. Buried at Ceduna Cemetery.

24 year old sailor aboard the 'SS Zinal' fell off the gangway and was drowned at Thevenard wharf on 6th March 1926.

40 year old waterside worker drowned off Thevenard on 16 Nov 1928. Buried at Ceduna Cemetery. Body found by L.J Hoffrichter at Duck Ponds. Was married to Hertha Elvira Hoffrichter.

Fell from flatty and drowned whilst fishing at Thevenard on 20/10/33 aged 47 years. Buried at Ceduna Cemetery.

Drowned near Thevenard jetty on May 11 1934. Found to have taken his own life. 47 years of age - from Finland. Buried at Ceduna Cemetery.

Drowned at the Granites, Point Sinclair on 1st January 1935 aged 18 years. Buried at Penong Cemetery

52 year old Greek fisherman fell from flatty and drowned off Thevenard on 27th July 1935. Body found at Shelly Beach. Buried at Ceduna Cemetery.

Drowned on 5th Dec 1936 at Fowlers Bay aged 23 years. Buried at Penong Cemetery.

Body found near Ceduna Hospital. 54 year old fisherman who had been in the district for 16 years. Family in Denmark. Buried in Ceduna cemetery.

53 year old Greek fisherman found drowned in the well of his boat off Thevenard on 4th Jan 1952. Thought to have fainted due to blood pressure problems and fallen into the well.

Drowned at Thevenard, near the jetty. 53 year old member of the crew of interstate freighter 'Bundaleer' that was taking on a load of plaster. Buried at Ceduna cemetery.

Body of 30 year old found on 24/10/57 70 metres north side of Ceduna jetty by Bill Jolly. Arrived at Thevenard 10 days prior to work at Ceduna Quick Service Garage.

No trace of tuna boat the Lincoln Star on her maiden voyage and coming home with 9 ton of tuna on 27th Feb 1961. Last contact at 6pm the night prior and expected to be in Port Lincoln the following morning. Seven crew lost between Cape Bradstock and Cape Adieu. 13 year old Robert Tapley, 19 year old brother Barrie and skipper and father 49 year old Eric Tapley. John Brown aged 24 from Blenheim NZ, Ron Watson aged 20 from Napier NZ, Albert Clayton aged 21 from Ulladulla NSW. Ole's age and origins not known.

14 year old Gary drowned on Sept.6th 1965 near the Thevenard jetty after a sailing boat capsize. Buried at Ceduna Cemetery.

7 year old Thevenard schoolboy drowned at Scotts Corner (near Duck Ponds)on 7/11/67. Was in a dinghy and was thought to have tried to swim ashore. Buried at Ceduna Cemetery.

11 year old Wade was taken by a shark while swimming at Point Sinclair on 7/2/75. Buried at Penong cemetery.

Affectionately known as Skip. Drowned on the forshore near Ceduna jetty as a result of an epileptic seizure on 28/11/75.

37 year old Swiss man fell of a vessel 'Jeparit' on 14/3/79. Body washed up at Duck Ponds.

On 3rd August 1980,16 year old Joseph and 20 year old Robert went missing. Their vehicle and bodies were discovered off the Thevenard wharf by Marine and Harbour divers on 26th March 1981. An extensive police search throughout SA and interstate had failed to find any trace of the missing boys. Joseph is buried at Ceduna Cemetery.

41 year old Brian and his 14 year old son Michael from Port Augusta drowned several kilometres south west of Smoky Bay jetty on May 26th 1980 following a boating accident.

49 year old Stanley accidentally drowned at Smoky Bay on 6/3/86. Stanley was born at Ooldea, was baptised with his family at Koonibba on 10/6/45 and is buried at the Koonibba cemetery.

12 year old affectionately known as 'Mako' suffered a seizure on Ceduna jetty, fell into the water and was retrieved but died as a result of the drowning a few days later. Born 18/2/77.

49 year old Aileen and 52 year old Graham (Goof) drowned at Fowlers Bay in a boating accident whilst checking cray pots on 9th January 1989. Buried at Penong Cemetery.

52 year old Tom drowned when he fell overboard from the fishing trawler 'Monica' 100 miles off Eucla. DNA testing of a bone in a wellington boot dredged up in a net a number of years later proved to be that of Tom Holder.

25 year old shark attack victim at Cactus Beach on 24th Sept 2000. On honeymoon from New Zealand.

28 year old skipper of the prawn trawler Lincoln Lady, Rees died from a blow to the head as a result of equipment failure aboard the vessel at anchor near Franklin Island.
