Conveniently situated in Poynton Street, the main street, the Ceduna Visitor Information Centre combines tourist information, internet access and souvenirs.
Managers Perry Will and Nancy Prior as well as other locals are there to help with tourism information over the weekends and during public holidays.
At the Visitor Information Centre, the travelling visitor is able to select from a large and comprehensive range of tourist pamphlets from all regions of South Australia and Western Australia, with a selection of pamphlets from other Australian districts.
All people working at the Centre have strong and informative knowledge of the local districts and are happy to answer all your questions. Come along and have a look at the photos in the Centre that show some favorite spots, along with a bit of the history of the town.
The two pamphlets promoting this district are the "Far West Coast Region" produced by the Ceduna Business & Tourism Association and the "Eyre Peninsula" brochure produced by Tourism Eyre Peninsula. This website has extensive details on available accommodation and things to see and do while your here in the Far West.
Along with valuable information, the Centre has a variety of souvenirs including t-shirts for all sizes, hats, souvenir spoons, car stickers, fridge magnets, fluffy Australian toys, plus an ever changing selection of postcards of the district.
There is also a selection of maps, including one on Goog's Track, a 4WD only track that cuts through the beautiful sand hill country to the north of Ceduna and finishes at Tarcoola on the East West Railway Line.
If you have just come across from the West, don't forget to call in and get an "I've Crossed the Nullarbor" Certificate, just so that you can prove to everyone else that you really did do it!
The Visitor Infomation Centre also takes bookings for local charter operators, holiday homes and tour operators so if you are interested in finding out more about some of the activities that are available here give our friendly staff a ring.
