Oysterfest - Welcome to the Annual Oysterfest!

The West Coast (SA) town of Ceduna hosts Australia's largest oyster festival, the annual Oysterfest in Ceduna, on the SA Labour Day Long Weekend.

Tantalizing Treasures of the Far West Coast

Ceduna is sure to be a funky town with Pseudo Echo performing over the weekend. Magicians, Comedians, Celebrity Chefs and a range of local acts will take to the stage. There will be a Seafood Cook-off, the Oyster Shucking Competition and Stein Holding Competition. Rides, attractions and music workshops for the kids. Look to the sky for 13x Australian Aerobatic Champion, Chris Sperou and the closing fireworks display. If it's all too exciting for you, sit back and relax on the Ceduna foreshore with a bounty of locally produced Oysters, a cold drink and enjoy the seaside atmosphere.

A range of other events will take place throughout the weekend and for those who wish to continue in the festive mood the Nullarborlinks Chasing the Sun golf festival tees off from Ceduna on 6th of October.

Thank you to our Oysterfest Ambassadors who have been tirelessly fundraising and remember to attend the night of nights - Oysterfest Dinner where the Ambassadors will be acknowledged for their assistance in ensuring we put on an event that showcases Ceduna and Eyre Peninsula.

The Oysterfest committee invites everyone to join in and assist with our annual event, if you wish to assist in anyway please contact the either Mathew or Kate at the District Council of Ceduna Office or by ringing 8625 3407.

The Oysterfest in Ceduna features the delicious oysters from Smoky Bay and Denial Bay, both cooked and natural, to be enjoyed with a glass of wine. The Oysterfest remains free of entry fees and this is greatly due to the commitment of local and corporate sponsorship and community participation. Visitors requiring more information or accommodation are urged to contact the Ceduna Visitor Information Centre on 08 8625 3343.
